What does this New Year have in store for us? So far we have been threatened by our government to hike the taxes. With the so called fiscal cliff looming. Which may I point out we never were given the chance or right to vote for the saving of our economy. And yet here we are now in debt up to our eyeballs every person in America. With increasing threats to end Social security, a program that has supported countless Americas for generations and could continue to support if the rates were raised and the Federal government stopped borrowing against it.
But hey I am a laymen and undereducated. So what do I know. I know General Motors C.E.O. received another huge end of year bonus. This company did nothing to change its profile but repaint old cars and trucks. They did however run many more ads.
This year will we have mass space travel? Will we pay down half our debt? Will we revamp schools so children have better work ethics? Can we start programs directed at 40 and beyond adults to retrain them? Or even utilize this work force instead of penalizing them with age discrimination? Can we finally put video and audio at every school so we can monitor what is going on there? With out an armed guard at every entrance? Can we finally get out of the middle east? Can we force realtors to stop jacking house prices up beyond what most of us can pay and get back to the real prices? Can we pass a law to limit family size? Or better yet after one generation has been on welfare how about the next ones all get jobs? OK, maybe I am going to far but you get the idea. We need a good overhaul.
